  • State-issued private security license number and license level
  • Employment history, qualifications, and professional certifications
  • Company name, business address, and employer identification information
  • ZIP codes for service area preferences
  • Payment information (processed and stored by Stripe)

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Verify private security license and company license status and maintain credential accuracy
  • Match officers with relevant job postings based on credentials and geographic preferences
  • Process vendor registration payments, officer subscriptions, and related billing
  • Send transactional emails related to your account, including application updates and job alerts
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Comply with legal obligations, including state licensing regulatory requirements

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With employers: When you apply to a job posting, the hiring company receives your application information, including your profile details and credentials.
  • Service providers: We share data with third-party providers who assist us in operating the Service, including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Loops (transactional email), and Supabase (database hosting).
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GuardXchange, our users, or the public.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication through Clerk, and access controls on our infrastructure.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

We will never share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@guardxchange.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
